They pursued justice not through faith but through works, and they stumbled.

Reflection: To do works without faith is like erecting a magnificent building on a shaky foundation. The higher the building, the greater is the fall. Without the support of faith, good works cannot stand.
- St. Ambrose

Prayer: Lord Jesus, help me to avoid the error of doing works without having a living faith. Enable me always to combine both faith and works in my everyday life.
